Troubleshooting Stiltz Homelift Made Easy

Understanding your lift’s basic functions will give you peace of mind and help reduce downtime. From clearing emergency stops to fixing remote control issues, our guide covers everything you need.

1. Lift Won’t Operate
- Light Curtain Obstruction:
Check if something (like a bag or an arm) is blocking the light curtain. Clear the area and ensure nothing blocks the light curtain while in use.

-Key Switch Off: Turn the key to the "on" position (horizontal).

-Emergency Stop Button Activated: Turn Emergency button clockwise until it pops out. Reset the lift by switching the key off and on.

-Door Latch Issue: Adjust your position or gently move the lift cab door. If it doesn’t work, call Upside Home Lifts for help.

-Main Power Off: If the ceiling light at the rear of the lift is off, there may be a power outage. The emergency battery will lower the lift. Wait for power to return for upward movement.

2. Lift Cab Moves on Its Own
-Remote Control Activation: Keep remotes in safe places at each landing to prevent accidental activation.

3. Lift Won’t Move Up or Down
- Obstruction Underneath: Check for and remove anything blocking the lift.

-Power Outage: Wait for the power to return

4. Remote Control Not Working
-Low Batteries: Replace with three AAA batteries.

-Too Far Away: Ensure you are within 10 feet of the lift for the remote to work.

5. Door Won’t Open
-Lift Not Aligned with Landing: Use the buttons or remote to align the lift with the floor.
